KAWAMURA Masashi
Director

A filmmaker known for crafting captivating works that no one has seen before but everyone finds mesmerizing. His diverse portfolio spans commercials, music videos, and television programs, earning accolades such as the Grand Prize at the Japan Media Arts Festival, the Cristal at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, and the Grand Prix at One Show. Raised in the United States, he is fluent in English, enabling direct communication with the international crew and partners—a rare talent among directors in Japan. Leveraging these skills, he has personally taken on the task of writing the main English script for this project.

OGAWA Iku
Director

Iku Ogawa is a young director, leading the next generation of the Japanese stop-motion industry. Working on the Rilakkuma series as an assistant / episode director, he made his mark with his speedy direction and comic-like strong character design.He joined HIDARI as a co-director, bringing his wealth of experience in this genre and stop-motion on-set control expertise. His main works are the Netflix series “Pokémon Concierge” (nominated for Best Direction – TV/Media at the Annie Awards), the Netflix series “Rilakkuma’s Theme Park Adventure (ep 2&5)”, and NHK’s “petit petit anime” “Tsuna the Empty Can”.

INOUE Tomofumi
Director

An animation director and storyboard artist. After working as a hand-drawn animator and gaining experience at several video production companies, he joined Polygon Pictures. While balance creating independent works, he has expanded his career into commercial projects, including storyboarding for the Netflix series Mech Cadets (2023). His early independent shorts, Eggs (2014) and Eggs in the Kitchen (2015), gained international recognition, screening at prestigious festivals such as the Cannes Film Festival (Short Film Corner) and the Fantasia International Film Festival. His latest directorial work, the short animation TRUST (2025), has achieved international acclaim, with official selections at SIGGRAPH 2025 and the 30th LA Shorts International Film Festival, as well as a screening at Comic-Con International (SDCC) 2026.

MIURA Moka
Producer

She joined Polygon Pictures after graduating from the School of Global Japanese Studies at Meiji University. After building a solid foundation in the industry as a production coordinator and production manager for various commercial works and game animations, she launched her career as a producer with the studio’s original title, Trust (2025). The short animation has achieved international acclaim, earning official selections at SIGGRAPH 2025 and the 30th LA Shorts International Film Festival, alongside a screening at Comic-Con International (SDCC) 2026.
