Gateway for Directors Japan is a new initiative for supporting Japanese independent filmmakers who take innovative approaches to their projects with worldwide vision. One of their project, "Challenge to Cannes 2014", reveals its line up.

Four pairs of film directors and producers have been selected by established international producers of Japan. Also, one director and producer pair will go to Cannes as part of the "Youth Category supported by wedovideo"

4, Panel discussion of international co-production in Asia by experienced professionals
5, Panel discussion of Japanese directors with young directors of the Fabrique des Cinémas du Monde 2014
