Calling all animated film makers! The 4th Tokyo Anime Award Festival (TAAF) will be held March 10-13, 2017 in Tokyo. Submissions for TAAF 2017 are now open.

Now entering its fourth year, TAAF, which became independent from Tokyo International Anime Fair (TAF / 2002-2013), consists of three main components: Competition for feature and short films, Anime of the Year and Achievement Award.

TAAF 2017 calls for unique animation works with high potential and strong messages, both feature and short animation, from all over the world. Our aim is to screen high-quality animation works superior in originality, provide opportunities to inspire audience as well as creators, cultivate new talents, and contribute in the development and promotion of animation cultures and industry.

General Information for Entries：
・ The submission deadlines
    1. Shorts (less than 30 min.): October 31, 2016
    2. Features (60 min. or longer): November 20, 2016
・ No entry fee required.
・ Awards & Prizes
    Grand Prize (both for Feature and Short, JPY 500,000), Award of Excellence (both for Feature and
   Short, JPY 100,000) and other prizes (if applicable).
