Film Festival, supporting and promoting Japanese films abroad.
UNIJAPAN has announced the 2016 Co-production Certification Program for live action and animated feature films.
Launched in 2011, UNIJAPAN Certificate aims to be the standard for international co-production in Japan, and is a mandatory requirement for the Agency for Cultural Affairs (Government of Japan) Co-production Subsidy.
Application must be made by a Japanese producing entity.
Outline of the program in English can be found linked below:
Applications will be accepted and processed year round. Films wishing to apply to the Agency for Cultural Affairs Co-production Subsidy, however, must apply for and obtain the UNIJAPAN Certificate first. (Deadline for 2016 Subsidy is Nov. 13, 2015)
