Japan-France Collaboration Seminar 'The Current Environment and Its Policies in European Film Industry'

Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and Visual Industry Promotion Organization (VIPO) will organize "the Japan-France Collaboration Seminar", supported by UNIJAPAN (Japan Association for International Promotion of the Moving Image) and Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF) on October 20th (Mon), 2008.

On the occasion of Japan International Contents Festival 2008 (CoFesta) and the 21st TIFF, we are pleased to have many distinguished guests from film and content industries abroad. Taking advantage of such visits, Mr. Toshihiro Nikai, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, has proposed to invite Mrs. Véronique Cayla, Director General, Centre National de la Cinematographie (CNC) and Mr. Lionel Chouchan, Chairman, Le Public Système, as speakers and to organize the captioned seminar, which we believe that will provide business persons here in Japan with most update and invaluable information about film industry and its policies in Europe.
