【Laugh Category／Peace Category】

This program is the core part of the film festival which premiers new Japanese feature comedy films created under the main festival concept of "Laugh＆Peace" and "Either filled with laughter or leaves a glow of happiness after the show".

As in the past, there are two categories of "Laugh Category"and "Peace Category" with each featuring approximately 10 as yet unscreened Japanese feature films. The lineup will include movies directed by Yoshimoto Talent, as well as pieces which have been co-produced together with Japanese TV stations and Yoshimoto Kogyo, which were particularly popular in the 2nd festival.

Terms of Application
Entries that fulfill all of the below terms are eligible for entry to the feature program "Laugh Category" and " Peace Category."

①Feature film of 35mm or video format, production completed after 1, Jan. 2010.
②Running time of over 60 minutes.
③Must have English subtitled version prepared by entrant. Dialogs and lists used in English subtitling must be submitted.
④Not commercially released (via theaters/television/internet) in Japan before the last day of this film festival.
⑤In adherence with the spirit of this film festival.

Examination & Awards
After careful examination and judging of the Feature Film Program by Okinawa International Film Festival internal regulations, the following prizes will be awarded.
(1)"Laugh category" Uminchu Award Grand Prize (audience award), "Peace Category" Uminchu Award Grand Prize (audience award)
