Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival Entry

The Yubari International Fantastic Film Festival is a film festival open both to the professionals and future filmmakers. Films selected carefully will be screened in the course of the festival and the best works will be awarded with Grand Prix and Special Jury Prize.

Requirements

Either professional or amateur of a film independently produced.
Any genre (drama, animation or documentary) is accepted. Fantastic films full of imagination are most welcome.
A film must be produced after 2007. Whether or not it has been screened to public prior to the festival is not taken into an account.
A film director should be able to attend the festival.
After the selection is made, films and trailers may be broadcasted on the air and on the internet.
After the selection is made, films and trailers shall be remade into software. A software will be made on the base of contract signed between filmmakers and copyright holders.

※Regarding copyrights: An applicant must have a copyright for any music, images, manga or novels that are inserted in your film. When your film is selected, you will need to have a confirmation of a copyright holder or literary agent. The selection of your film shall become void if the copyright infringement is found.

Format

Submit a sample DVD (NTSC) or miniDV containing the film and its 1-minute trailer.
Any format and any size will be fine: 8mm, 16mm, 35mm, or DV for selected films.

Subtitles

English subtitles for selected films are needed.
