Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival Entry

YIDFF explores new concepts in the field of documentary, which is building a niche for itself while converging with various media in our high-tech information society. It also aims to uncover new talent and expand spheres of interaction among lovers of documentaries. YIDFF supports filmmakers and conducts activities to promote visual culture throughout the year.

Requirements

YIDFF 2009 is accepting entries for the International Competition and New Asia Currents. Entrants are asked to submit their work to one program only.

  • A half-inch VHS video cassete (NTSC, PAL, or SECAM) or DVD (region free only)
  • Complete entry form
  • Press kit (English or Japanese)
  • Within five different stills from the film
