Japan Media Arts Festival

Japan Media Arts Festival is a contest of the works that utilize the latest expression technology in the fields of Art, Entertainment, Animation and Manga. It has been continuously held since year 1997 in cooperation with the Agency for Cultural Affairs, National Art Centre Tokyo and CG-ARTS Society. Throughout the entries in the sections of Art, Entertainment, Animation and Manga, the works of excellence and artists are solicited and awarded. The exhibition to introduce these excellence works and screening events are held in the National Art Center Tokyo. Japan Media Arts Festival provides also valuable opportunities for the contestants to meet artists throughout symposiums and workshops which are held during the exhibition.These opportunities are one of the big attractions of Japan Media Arts Festival.
